I had not quite realised how long it was since my last post – so apologies to my readers for such a long gap! We have had visitors recently from England and I will say more about that in another post to follow this one. But I wanted to write this post to draw your attention to accommodation we have available for visitors generally…. and I am thinking about sporting events not so far away as I write….!! Whatever do I mean??!
Aha… OK, so the Football World Cup 2014 is nearly upon us, and you may be looking for somewhere to base yourself in Brazil. English speaking visitors
There was a news item today which set me off on thinking about writing this post. It appears that after the host nation of Brazil, the top three countries booking tickets are the USA, Australia and England so to have English speaking hosts will be important for perhaps the majority of football visitors to Brazil in a couple of months time. The combination of an Englishman (retired) and his Brazilian, Portuguese-teacher, wife may be of specific appeal from the point of view of discovering your host country and solving potential problems? And the fact that we own comfortable, accessible and modestly priced accommodation may clinch it for you?! We also speak a number of other languages between us, so if you are French- or Spanish-speaking or Italian, then please read on!
As well as a base for accessing football matches in the country as a whole (we are less than an hour from Rio International Airport at one property and well under two hours at our other property) you can enjoy a few days of quiet time in the lovely Lakes region close to Rio or gain easy access across Guanabara Bay to the vibrant city of Rio. You can book one or more rooms in our properties for a specific period – OR – you can rent a whole property for a group of up to 12 (twelve) people for the whole World Cup period.
Our Niteroi property provides easy access to the great new Maracana Stadium across the bay and there are regular express bus services direct into Rio de Janeiro easily accessible from our Jacone property. Indeed, the grass for the Maracana Stadium was grown a mile or so from our jacone home!!
All the accommodation is provided at a high comfort level specification; we have large terraces with long views, BBQ areas, large high quality kitchens, all the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and most have air-conditioning. We have small swimming pools to keep cool in at both properties and excellent garage accommodation if you choose to hire a car for the duration.
