Meltons of the World

Meltons of the World

I am just about to broadcast this short blog via my “LinkedIn” groups so I do hope you don’t mind me borrowing your space for a few moments to let you know about a new group I hope to set up – called Meltons of the World.

The name of the group has been on LinkedIn for a little while, waiting for the appearance of my novel, Captain Cobbler: the Lincolnshire Uprising 1536, which is now due to be launched officially on 1st October 2013, although the e-book should be ready before then for those with Kindles and iPads and so on.

Captain Cobbler was a Louth shoemaker called Nicholas Melton, clearly a namesake of mine, and all other Meltons of course, so I am organising a “giveaway” for the launch. I will be giving away one softback copy of the book and five copies of the e-book to six people whose name is Melton, assuming, of course, at least six people join the new group! If, as I hope, the group attracts more than six people I will hold a draw during the first week of October. So, if your name is Melton, or you have friends called Melton on LinkedIn – please draw their attention to this group.

I would be particularly pleased if there were some Meltons out there who have already established a genealogical link to Nicholas Melton – that would be terrific!

Thank you for your patience…
